Kevin Quiambao’s dominant second half performance vs. Chinese Taipei

Quiambao showed why he is one of the brightest stars in Philippine basketball.

Even before the quarterfinals match against Australia, Quiambao already grabbed the attention of fans with a dominant second half performance against Chinese Taipei.

Trailing 73-62 in the fourth quarter, Quiambao sparked Gilas’ comeback attempt.

He opened the period with a booming three-pointer, followed by a basket to bring the team within 73-67. He eventually scored 13 of his 17 total points in the final quarter alone, but the comeback fell just short, 95-87.

In the tournament, Quiambao averaged 12 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.

Dwight Ramos leads the way in crucial win vs. Iraq

In a must-win matchup against Iraq, Ramos stepped up big time.

With the game tied at 35 around the middle of the third quarter, Ramos drilled back-to-back triples to give Gilas the lead. Justin Brownlee then followed with a trey of his own to widen the margin for the national team.

Ramos scored 10 of his 21 total points in the third quarter and filled the stat sheet with six rebounds, two assists, and two steals to keep Gilas' FIBA Asia Cup bid alive, 66-57.

Justin Brownlee's game-tying triple to force OT vs KSA

One of the most iconic moments of the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup was Brownlee’s clutch three-pointer against Saudi Arabia.

Down 79-76 with 3.7 seconds left in regulation, Brownlee drilled a cold-blooded triple to force overtime. With momentum on their side, Gilas powered through in OT, 95-88, to seal the win and secure a spot in the quarterfinals.

By the end of the campaign, Brownlee had 20.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
