Magnolia gets Javi Gomez de Liaño, sends Jerrick Ahanmisi and 2nd round pick to Terrafirma

Magnolia continues to retool its lineup with the acquisition of Javi Gomez de Liaño.

The PBA approved the transaction on Friday.

Gomez de Liaño's move to the Hotshots comes after the appointment of LA Tenorio as the team’s new head coach and the departure of veteran Rafi Reavis.

In exchange, Terrafirma will receive Jerrick Ahanmisi and Magnolia's second-round draft pick.

Gomez de Liaño returns to the PBA after playing for the Anyang JKJ Red Boosters in the Korean Basketball League.

Before his initial PBA stint, he also played in Japan’s B.League with the Ibaraki Robots.
