Gilas Pilipinas Youth in the FIBA U16 Asia Cup: Lineup and Schedule

The young guns of Gilas Pilipinas will showcase their talents on the international stage as they represent the country in the FIBA U16 Asia Cup to be held in Mongolia from August 31 to September 7.

The team earned a spot in the Asia Cup after dominating the SEABA U16 qualifiers held in Pampanga last May.

• September 2, 4:30 p.m. — Gilas Pilipinas vs. New Zealand

Tournament Format:

Only the top team from each group at the end of the pool phase will directly advance to the quarterfinals. The second- and third-placed teams from each group will enter the qualification to quarterfinals round.

In this phase, the no. 2 and no. 3 teams from Groups A and B will face off in crossover matches, with the same format applied to Groups C and D.

Once the quarterfinal matchups are set, the tournament will proceed with the knockout rounds. Classification games will also be held to determine 5th to 8th place.
