PBA: Converge gets Dave Ildefonso, sends Kobe Monje and two draft picks to Titan

Converge acquired the rights to Dave Ildefonso from Titan Ultra in exchange for Kobe Monje and two future draft picks.

The Giant Risers, meanwhile, received Monje along with Converge’s second-round pick in next season’s draft and a first-round pick in the Season 52 draft.

The development was announced in an update on the league’s website on Friday.

“It was a tough call,” said Converge governor Archen Cayabyab. “But looking at our young team, we know we need Dave, as his position is also our missing piece.”

“We want to be competitive and give Boss Dennis Anthony Uy a championship, and getting Dave is a great addition.”

Ildefonso was selected fifth overall by NorthPort in the Season 49 Draft but did not sign with the Batang Pier.

Monje, meanwhile, was the 21st overall pick in this year’s draft.
