UAAP: Late rally propels Adamson past UE


A late rally propelled Adamson University past the University of the East, 56–53, in the UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball tournament on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Red Warriors held a 50–49 lead with less than three minutes left in the final frame before the Soaring Falcons unleashed a 7–0 run to take the win, overcoming John Abate’s late three-pointer.

Cedrick Manzano led the Soaring Falcons with 11 points and 10 rebounds, along with three assists, two blocks, and a steal, while OJ Ojarike grabbed 14 rebounds to go with three points.

Abate finished with 16 points, while Precious Momowei added 15 points and 14 rebounds in the losing effort for UE.

With the win, Adamson improved to 4–4, while UE remained winless at 0–8.
