Uratex Dream wins third straight title in Red Bull Half Court
Uratex Dream pulled off a rare three-peat in the Red Bull Half Court National Finals.
Last Saturday, Gilas Pilipinas Women standout Kaye Pingol, along with Lexi Pana, Hazelle Yam, and Sam Harada, defeated sister team Uratex Tibay, 22–8, to claim the victory.
With the win, Uratex Dream earned a slot in the Red Bull Half Court World Final in Dubai this coming November 27 to 29.
The team now hopes to bring home the world title after reaching the finals in New York last year.
“We’re so happy to keep this championship, and it only motivates us to do better now that this will be our third time on that grand stage,” said Pingol.
“Siyempre, gusto naming manalo lagi at gusto naming bumawi from last year,” added the Philippines’ No. 1-ranked women’s 3x3 player.
In the men’s division, Taho Story — composed of Nikki Monteclaro, Mikey Macaballug, Jordan Rios, and Ik Apuru — booked their ticket to Dubai after defeating Fit N’ Grind, 9–5, in the finals.
