UAAP: La Salle’s Vhoris Marasigan handed one-game suspension
De La Salle University’s Vhoris Marasigan has been handed a one-game suspension following a disqualifying foul he committed during the Green Archers’ match against National University last Sunday.
The league announced the suspension on Tuesday.
“At the 4:52 mark of the second quarter, prior to an inbound pass, Marasigan threw a closed left fist to the abdomen of NU’s Omar John, resulting in his disqualification from the game,” the Basketball Commissioner’s Office said.
NU defeated La Salle, 75-67.
This marks Marasigan’s second infraction, the first occurring on September 27, 2025, against the University of Santo Tomas, where “he made a non-basketball play by swinging his left hand toward the lower part of Kyle Paranada’s body, leading to an unsportsmanlike foul (criteria 1).”
La Salle, however, may still file a motion regarding the decision.
The Green Archers will be without Marasigan, as well as injured players Kean Baclaan and Mason Amos, when they face rival Ateneo de Manila University on Sunday.
