PBA: TNT outlasts Terrafirma in OT behind Kelly Williams’ hot shooting

Kelly Williams drilled three triples in overtime as TNT outlasted Terrafirma, 109-95, in the PBA Philippine Cup on Friday at the Ynares Center in Montalban, Rizal.

Williams scored nine of the Tropang 5G’s 17 points in the extra period, while Aljon Mariano was the only player to score for the Dyip with three points in that frame.

Earlier, TNT nearly clinched the win in regulation after Williams hit a triple to give them a 92-90 lead with 45 seconds left in the fourth quarter. However, Jerrick Ahanmisi’s free throws tied the game, and Calvin Oftana missed a potential game-winner, sending the contest into overtime.

Williams finished with 28 points built on eight triples, along with 11 rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block. RR Pogoy and Oftana added 21 and 15 points, respectively, while Rey Nambatac chipped in 14.

Ahanmisi led the Dyip with 26 points, while Brent Paraiso had 13. Mariano and Louie Sangalang contributed 10 points apiece.

With the win, TNT extended its winning streak to four, improving to 5-1, while Terrafirma suffered its fourth straight loss and dropped to 1-5.
