NCAA postpones Tuesday's San Beda-Letran rivalry match, Perpetual-LPU clash amid Typhoon Uwan

The NCAA has postponed its scheduled Tuesday double-header as Typhoon Uwan continues to affect parts of the country.

The league announced that it is moving the rivalry rematch between San Beda University and Colegio de San Juan de Letran and the crucial encounter between league-leading University of Perpetual Help System DALTA and Lyceum of the Philippines University.

Both games were originally scheduled to take place at the Mall of Asia Arena with the Red Lions and the Knights supposedly slugging it out at 2:30 p.m. while the ALTAs and the Pirates were scheduled at 11 a.m.

"In view of the announcement from Malacañang Palace regarding the suspension of classes and work in the National Capital Region on November 10-11, 2025, due to the threat of Super Typhoon #UwahPH, the NCAA prioritizes the safety of student-athletes, spectators, and all stakeholders," the NCAA said in a statement.

"Accordingly, all scheduled NCAA Basketball games on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the Mall of Asia Arena are hereby canceled."

Both San Beda and Letran are coming off bounce back wins with the Red Lions eking out an 80-76 win against De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde last Friday to make up for their back-to-back losses to Perpetual and LPU.

The Knights, meanwhile, avenged their first-round loss to Jose Rizal University with an 85-71 win last Saturday to rebound from a 82-81 stunning loss to San Sebastian College-Recoletos.

It's the opposite for Perpetual and Lyceum with both the ALTAs and the Pirates hoping to bounce back from a loss.

Group A leader Perpetual absorbed a shock 62-61 loss to the Golden Stags last Saturday to sustain just their second defeat of the season while Lyceum fell to defending champion Mapua University last Friday., 78-73

Before this, the NCAA had already suspended the games on Sunday, November 9, due to the same reason
