PBA: Phoenix dominates Terrafirma to end four-game losing skid
After four straight losses, Phoenix returned to the win column with a dominant 107-76 victory over Terrafirma in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday at the Ynares Center in Montalban, Rizal.
The Fuel Masters started strong, outscoring the Dyip 37-20 in the first quarter. By the end of the third period, Phoenix held an 84-68 lead before completely taking over in the final frame, 23-8, to cruise to the win.
Kai Ballungay led the way with a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds, along with one assist and one block, as Phoenix improved to 2-5. Ricci Rivero added 16 points, while Jason Perkins and Bryan Santos chipped in 12 apiece.
Paolo Hernandez topscored for Terrafirma with 14 points, while Louie Sangalang contributed 13 as the Dyip suffered their fifth consecutive loss and slipped to 1-6.
