PBA: San Miguel crushes Titan by 41 to extend win streak to five

San Miguel was a force to be reckoned with, routing Titan Ultra, 158-117, in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday at the Ynares Center in Montalban, Rizal.

The Beermen took control early, outscoring the Giant Risers 36-24 in the opening quarter before breaking the game wide open in the second. San Miguel poured in 43 points in that period while holding Titan to just 14, building a commanding 79-38 halftime lead.

The onslaught continued in the third quarter, as the Beermen opened with an 8-0 run to make it 87-38. They went on to post their biggest lead of the game at 91-41 midway through the said period before cruising to the victory.

CJ Perez led San Miguel with 26 points, including three four-pointers in the decisive second quarter. Jericho Cruz added 24 points, while Don Trollano chipped in 20. June Mar Fajardo recorded a triple-double with 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Jeron Teng contributed 15 points.

Von Pessumal paced Titan with 21 points, Joshua Munzon added 20, and Calvin Abueva finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

San Miguel improved to 5-2 with the win, while Titan dropped to 2-5.
