Gilas candidates Boatwright, Diouf, and Elizabeth Means start naturalization process

Bennie Boatwright, Malick Diouf, and Elizabeth Jeanette Means have begun their naturalization process as they attended a hearing at the House of Representatives.

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) posted the update on Wednesday.

“We’re thankful to the House of Representatives for their time and for this opportunity to further strengthen Philippine basketball,” the basketball federation said.

Boatwright is a former San Miguel Beermen import, whom he helped lead to the PBA Commissioner’s Cup championship in 2024.

Diouf, meanwhile, played for the University of the Philippines for three seasons in the UAAP and was part of its championship run in 2022.

Justin Brownlee and Ange Kouame are the current naturalized players of the national team.
