NCAA Season 101: Play-in and Quarterfinals bracket, schedule, and league leadersĀ

The NCAA Season 101 basketball tournament concluded its preliminary round on Sunday and is now heading to the first phase of the postseason — the play-in.

What is the play-in again? A recap of the new tournament format

Part of this season’s new format is the play-in, which serves as the first phase of the playoffs.

In the play-in, the bottom two teams of each group will battle for the last spot in the quarterfinals.

From there, the play-in winners will advance to the quarterfinals and face the top seed of the opposite group, with the top seed holding a twice-to-beat advantage. The No. 2 team of each group, which also enjoys a twice-to-beat advantage, will face the No. 3 team of the other group.

The winners of the quarterfinals will then advance to the best-of-three semifinals, with the winners of the series getting the chance to battle for the title.
