Gilas Pilipinas at the 2027 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers results

Gilas Pilipinas opened its campaign in the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers on Friday.

Here is a recap of the results of the games:

• November 28, 5:00 p.m. — Guam 46-87 Philippines
• December 1, 7:30 p.m. (Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagle Gym, Quezon City) — Philippines vs Guam

A total of 16 teams, divided into four groups, are competing in the Asian Qualifiers.

Group B

• Japan
• China
• South Korea
• Chinese Taipei

Group C

• Iran
• Jordan
• Syria
• Iraq

Group D

• Lebanon
• Saudi Arabia
• India
• Qatar

Only the top three teams from each group will advance to the second round, except in Group D, where only the top two teams will proceed, along with Qatar, which has an automatic berth as host of the 2027 World Cup.
