2025 SEA Games: Gilas Pilipinas Women down Malaysia to open title redemption campaign

Gilas Pilipinas Women opened its title redemption campaign at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games with a 76–67 victory over Malaysia on Saturday in Thailand.

The Philippines won the gold medal in back-to-back editions in 2019 and 2021 before settling for silver in 2023.

Gilas returns to action on Sunday against Singapore.
