PBA: June Mar Fajardo leads stats race for Philippine Cup Best Player of the Conference award
June Mar Fajardo of the San Miguel Beermen topped the statistical points (SP) standings in the race for the PBA Philippine Cup Best Player of the Conference award at the conclusion of the quarterfinals.
Fajardo is averaging 45.4 SPs, built on averages of 17.4 points, 15.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game.
Should he capture the honor at the end of the conference, it would mark his 13th Best Player of the Conference award.
Titan Ultra’s Calvin Abueva is currently second with 41.2 SPs, followed by Converge rookie Juan Gomez de Liaño at 37.23. His teammate Justine Baltazar is close behind in fourth with 37.15, while Magnolia’s Zav Lucero rounds out the top five with 33.8.
Completing the top 10 are Titan’s Joshua Munzon (33.6), San Miguel’s CJ Perez (32.92), TNT’s Calvin Oftana (32.91), Converge’s Justin Arana (32.6), and Meralco’s CJ Cansino (31.2).
Aside from statistical points, votes from players and the media will also factor into the final Best Player of the Conference award.
