UAAP: Precious Momowei bids farewell to UE

UAAP: Precious Momowei bids farewell to UE

University of the East big man Precious Momowei expressed nothing but gratitude as he parted ways with the Red Warriors.

Momowei announced his departure on Friday.

In an Instagram post, Momowei described UE as his family and said the memories he made with the team “will last a lifetime.”

“Thank you University of the East, being part of this team has been more than just basketball...it’s been family, growth, and memories that will last a lifetime,” he wrote.

“Every practice, every game, every win and loss shaped us into stronger athletes and better people. I’m grateful for the brotherhood, the lessons, and the pride of wearing this jersey.”

Momowei said he would have wanted to finish his playing years or get a degree in UE, “but I guess God have other plans for me.”

“This chapter may be ending, but the impact of this team will last far beyond the court. We pushed each other, believed in each other, and left everything out there,” he said.

“I’m proud of what we built together. Thank you for making these years special. I’ll always be proud to call myself part of this team.”

Momowei played for UE for three seasons and should he transfer to another UAAP school, he will have his remaining two years of eligibility reduced.
