UAAP: Adamson hands Ateneo first loss of UAAP Season 88 Boys Tournament
There are no more undefeated teams in the Boys division of UAAP high school hoops as Adamson University soared above Ateneo de Manila University, 77-73, Thursday at the FilOil Centre in San Juan City.
Jarl Artango exploded for 24 points, which was capped off by a crucial free throw towards the end to avoid any possibility of Ateneo forcing an overtime period.
The young cager also chipped in five rebounds, four assists, and three steals to steer his team towards an improved 3-3 win-loss record.
Also helping the cause were Chrys Gomez and Noah Bautista, racking up 13 and 10 markers with both players also amassing eight steals between them.
On the other hand, the Blue Eagles suffered their first loss of the season despite Jude Eriobu still having a dominant game, producing game-highs of 27 points, 27 boards, and four blocks.

Continuing their fine early season form, Far Eastern University-Diliman came out triumphant against De La Salle Zobel, 79-61.
Swingman Cabs Cabonilas produced an overall game to help the Baby Tamaraws claim their fourth consecutive win, scoring a game-high 21 points to go along with five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks.
Fellow starters Jb Cagurungan and Khean Esperanza also notched double-digits in points, contributing 11 and 10, respectively.
Answering when his jersey number got called upon, Marc Burgos also poured in 11 points off the bench for the Diliman-based team.
For La Salle, it was Maco Dabao spearheading the offensive production yet again. The guard churned out 16 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block.
Center Yusuf Mikailu had a double-double of 11 points and 16 rebounds, while also swatting away five shots.

National University-Nazareth School kept in striking distance of the lead pack by coming away with a hard earned victory over University of the East, 84-78.
The victory over the Junior Red Warriors gave NUNS their fourth win of the season, only trailing Ateneo and FEU-D.
Chad Cartel paced the Bullpups offense today, scoring 17 points; doing most of his work from the three-point range at an efficient 80% shooting clip (4/5 3PM).
Inside the paint, it was bigman Moussa Diakite who anchored NUNS, grabbing a game-high 20 rebounds to go along with 12 points.
Meanwhile, despite hanging on throughout most of the four quarters, UE were unable to find its last gear to get past the Bullpups. Junior Red Warrior Ethan Aguas mustered up a game-high 25 points with eight boards.

To conclude gameday six of 19-under play, titleholders University of Santo Tomas are back in the win column after a commanding win against University of the Philippines-Integrated School, 112-57.
Jetlee Melano manufactured 25 points to lead all scorers and UST to their second win of Season 88.
Supplementing the shooting performance of Melano were the duo of Kirk Cañete and Ola Ajani, both producing double-double statlines.
Cañete came up with 17 points and 10 assists, while center Ajani mustered up 14 markers and 14 boards.
On the other hand, the Fighting Maroons are still in search of their first win of the season.
Jhustin Hallare led UPIS anew with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Bruce Tubongbanua followed suit, scoring 11 points while also grabbing 13 rebounds.
