PBA: Macau Black Bears to play in Commissioner’s Cup
The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) announced on Friday that the Macau Black Bears will compete in the upcoming Commissioner’s Cup, which tips off on March 11.
League officials and the management of the Macau-based club have formally signed a memorandum of agreement, allowing the Black Bears to participate as a guest team in the import-laden conference.
This marks the third season that the PBA has welcomed a guest team in the Commissioner’s Cup, following Bay Area in Season 47 and Hong Kong Eastern in Season 48.
The Black Bears’ current roster includes Sam Deguara, Damian Chongqui, and Omari Peek-Green, among others.
Macau is no stranger to international competition, having previously seen action in the East Asia Super League and other Asian tournaments.
