PBA: Jonnel Policarpio joins Converge, Javee Mocon now with Meralco in three-team trade
NLEX traded two players on Tuesday in a three-team, five-player transaction that also involved Converge and Meralco ahead of PBA Season 50 Commissioner's Cup.
The Road Warriors have shipped Jonnel Policarpio and Javee Mocon to the FiberXers in exchange for the pair of Deschon Winston and Kevin Racal.
But Mocon won't be staying with Converge as the franchise traded him to the Bolts to get the services of sophomore guard Kurt Reyson and a Season 52 second round pick.
In a separate deal, Converge added depth to its backcourt by trading Tony Ynot to Phoenix in exchange for James Kwekuteye.
The latest moves saw Converge gain a talented troika of Reyson, Policarpio, and Kwekuteye as the FiberXers look to redeem themselves after getting ousted by Barangay Ginebra in the previous Philippine Cup quarterfinals.
Ynot, meanwhile, will reunite with with his college coach Charles Tiu at Phoenix together with his fellow former De La Salle-College of Benilde star Will Gozum.
