Gilas Pilipinas fell short against New Zealand Tall Blacks, 69-66, in the second window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Asian Qualifiers on Thursday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Dwight Ramos led the Philippines with 16 points and eight rebounds, while CJ Perez added 15 points.

Juan Gomez de Liaño contributed 10 points in his debut this window.

For New Zealand, Max Darling scored 11 points, Sam Mennenga posted 10 points and 14 rebounds, and Alex McNaught chipped in 10 points.

Gilas Pilipinas will face Australia next on Sunday.
