PBA: Converge officially welcomes Mikey Williams

PBA: Converge officially welcomes Mikey Williams

After an almost three-year hiatus, Mikey Williams is finally set to return to the PBA stage.

The veteran point guard was officially welcomed by the Converge FiberXers on Wednesday ahead of the PBA Season 50 Commissioner's Cup, which tips off on March 11 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

This will mark William’s highly anticipated PBA return after nearly three years away from the league. He last played in April 2023, when he helped his former team, TNT, capture the Governors’ Cup championship and earned Finals MVP honors—his second overall with the franchise.

TNT then parted ways with Williams, trading him to Converge in exchange for Jordan Heading in June 2025. Even after that deal, however, Williams did not immediately see action for the FiberXers.

He is now set to bolster Converge in the upcoming import-laden Commissioner's Cup with the FiberXers opening their campaign against guest team Macau Black Bears on March 11.
