PBA: Jerrick Ahanmisi rules 3-point shootout, obstacle challenge in All-Star Weekend
Jerrick Ahanmisi dominated the skills events on opening day of the PBA All-Star Weekend on Friday in Candon City.
Ahanmisi ruled the 3-point shootout, scoring 30 points in the final round to beat Juan Gomez de Liaño of Converge FiberXers and Marcio Lassiter of San Miguel Beermen.
Earlier, Ahanmisi also topped the guard obstacle challenge with a perfect run, clocking 24.44 seconds.
Rey Nambatac of TNT finished with 27.94 seconds, while Fran Yu of Terrafirma posted 37.52 seconds. Gomez de Liaño registered 35.83 seconds, while Juami Tiongson of San Miguel had 50.71 seconds, as Dalph Panopio of Blackwater Bossing registered 26.97 seconds.
In the big men obstacle challenge, Brandon Bates also delivered a perfect run, clocking 22.86 seconds to beat James Laput of Magnolia Hotshots, who finished in 45.69 seconds, and Brandon Ramirez of NLEX Road Warriors, who timed 27 seconds.
