PBA: Jerom Lastimosa leads Rookies-Sophomores past Juniors in All-Star Weekend

Jerom Lastimosa led the Rookies-Sophomores squad to a 154-150 victory over the Juniors in the PBA All-Star Weekend on Friday in Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

The Magnolia Hotshots guard finished with 27 points, 14 of which came in the fourth quarter, and dished out 10 assists to lead his fellow young guns.

Brandon Ramirez of the NLEX Road Warriors added 26 points and 10 rebounds, while Kai Ballungay chipped in 20 points and seven rebounds.

Legends also reinforced the young squad, with Arwind Santos contributing 14 points and Willie Miller adding four markers.

The win spoiled a big outing from Ricci Rivero, who finished with 30 points and 10 rebounds for the Juniors.

Schonny Winston and Ken Tuffin added 29 and 23 points, respectively, while icons Marc Pingris and Ranidel de Ocampo also suited up for the third-year players.

Earlier in the day, Jerrick Ahanmisi stood out by winning both the 3-point shootout and the guards’ obstacle challenge to kick off the All-Star festivities.
