NBA: Suns' Dillon Brooks arrested on suspicion of DUI
Phoenix Suns swingman Dillon Brooks was arrested early Friday on suspicion of driving under the influence in Scottsdale.
A police incident report shows Brooks was stopped by Scottsdale Police at roughly 1 a.m. Friday. He was subsequently arrested, taken to jail and released several hours later.
"We are aware of the situation involving Dillon Brooks and are gathering more information," the Phoenix Suns said in a statement. "We have no further comment at this time."
Brooks has not played in Phoenix's past five games after suffering a broken left hand in a Feb. 21 win over the Orlando Magic. The injury was expected to sideline him for four to six weeks.
A six-week absence would see Brooks return to the court in early April. The regular season ends April 12.
Brooks, 30, is averaging a career-best 21.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 50 games (all starts) during his first season with Phoenix.
He has career averages of 14.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 542 games (515 starts) for the Memphis Grizzlies (2017-23), Houston Rockets (2023-25) and Suns.
