NBA: Raptors rally to knock off Suns

Brandon Ingram scored 36 points Friday night and the Toronto Raptors came back to defeat the visiting Phoenix Suns 122-115.

RJ Barrett added 22 points for the Raptors, who trailed by 10 points early in the fourth quarter and finished the game on a 27-10 run.

Immanuel Quickley scored 17 points for the Raptors, who had lost their previous two games. Scottie Barnes, who was a game-time decision because of illness, contributed 14 points and two blocks. Ja'Kobe Walter scored 12 points.

Jalen Green scored 34 points for the Suns, who had a four-game winning streak end. Devin Booker added 31 points, Grayson Allen scored 15 points and Rasheer Fleming had nine points and three blocks.

The Suns led by six points after the third quarter and stretched the margin to 10 on Jordan Goodwin's 3-pointer with 10:16 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Toronto cut the lead to five on Walter's 3-pointer with 6:58 left. After a Phoenix shot-clock violation, Barnes completed an 8-0 Toronto run with a dunk that cut the lead to two with 5:22 to go.

Toronto took a 108-107 lead on Barrett's corner 3-pointer with 3:35 to play. Royce O'Neal nailed a 3-pointer to give the Suns a two-point lead before Ingram tied the game on a layup with 2:11 left.

Barrett's layup put Toronto ahead by two with 1:35 left and Ingram's jumper made it a four-point lead. Barrett's dunk gave Toronto a six-point lead with 34.8 seconds left.

After Toronto led 30-28 after one quarter, the Suns opened the second quarter with an 11-2 burst. Quickley responded by making two consecutive 3-pointers.

The Suns surged again to lead by 11 on Oso Ighodaro's dunk with four minutes to play in the second quarter. The Raptors rallied to pull within one point on Ingram's floating jumper with 1:44 left. Phoenix led 62-59 at halftime.

The Suns took an eight-point lead on Green's emphatic driving dunk with 9:02 to play in the third quarter. The Raptors persisted and crept to within three on Barrett's floater with 2:44 remaining. The Sun's defense forced Toronto into a shot-clock violation with 1:54 left.

Booker hit a long jumper at the buzzer to give Phoenix a 92-86 lead after three quarters.
