PBA: Bol Bol's double-double steers TNT to rout of San Miguel

Bol Bol set the tone early as TNT blew out San Miguel with a dominant 118-92 win, seizing their second straight win in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner's Cup on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Sudanese-American import poured in 16 points in the first half, including a three-pointer that sparked a 21-4 run to close out the opening frame. He finished with 34 points together with 18 rebounds and a block to get the better of reigning MVP June Mar Fajardo.

Calvin Oftana posted 18 markers while Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser chipped in 13 markers as the Tropang 5G improved to 2-1. The Beermen, meanwhile, absorbed their second loss in three outings.

With the game separated by just two points early on, 14-12, TNT went on a rampage when Bol unleashed a three-pointer that ignited a blistering TNT rally. Oftana, RR Pogoy, and Ganuelas-Rosser followed suit then joined the barrage, combining for four more triples in succession to blow the game wide open and give the defending champion a commanding 35–16 lead at the end of the first period.

TNT never looked back from there, with Bol knocking down a jumper that stretched the lead to its biggest at 97-68, ultimately putting the game out of reach.

SMB import Marcus Lee paced the Beermen with 30 points and 14 rebounds as Fajardo had 15 markers and 20 boards in his first taste of action against Bol.
