PBA: Kevin Alas out for 1-2 weeks due to dislocated finger
Injury has hit Kevin Alas again as the veteran guard is set to be sidelined for one to two weeks amid the ongoing campaign of his NLEX Road Warriors in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner's Cup.
NLEX team governor Ronald Dulatre confirmed the development to GMA News Online, revealing Alas sustained a dislocated ring finger on his left hand during practice the other day.
Dulatre added that the 34-year-old guard already underwent surgery and is expected to be out for the next two weeks.
Alas' injury is a major blow for the Road Warriors, who are currently in second place in the import-laden tournament with a 6-2 record behind league-leading Rain or Shine ( 7-1).
Alas, who had suffered three ACL tears in the past, is averaging 7.13 points, 2.50 rebounds, and 2.25 assists.
NLEX will now look to finish the elimination strong despite the absence of Alas with Robert Bolick, Schonny Winston, and JB Bahio leading the locals alongside import Cady Lalanne.
NLEX will take on Terrafirma on Saturday as it looks to bounce back from a previous loss to San Miguel.
