Gilas Women 3x3 spotless at 2-0 in Asian Beach Games

Gilas Pilipinas Women 3x3 dominated two separate foes to kick off their bid at the 2026 Asian Beach Games on Saturday in Sanya, China. 

The Filipinas beat Indonesia, 15–11, and dismantled Macao, 21–9, to stay undefeated through two games, in step with Gilas Pilipinas Men 3x3, who also began their campaign at 2–0 earlier today.

National team mainstay Mikka Cacho led the way against the Indonesians after dropping a team-high five points while Kaye Pingol and Tantoy Ferrer each poured in four markers. 

Gabi Bade added two points as Gilas Women 3x3 got off to a strong start. 

Ferrer then starred in their lopsided win over Macao after the former UST standout erupted for eight points while Bade supplied the help with seven markers. 

Gilas will return to action on Monday against Kyrgyzstan.
