Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 Women bow out of contention in FIBA 3x3 W Series

The two Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 women’s teams were eliminated from contention in the FIBA 3x3 W Series held Thursday at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, after both squads went winless in the tournament.

The Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 team composed of Mikka Cacho, Tantoy Ferrer, Gabi Bade, and Camille Clarin lost to Germany, 14-9, and the United States, 21-10.

Only the top two teams from each pool advanced to the quarterfinals.

Earlier, the Manila-based squad of Afril Bernardino, Sam Harada, Karl Ann Pingol, and Kaye Pingol also failed to reach the main draw after falling to Warsaw, 14-9, and the United States, 21-12.

Meanwhile, the men’s teams are set to compete in the FIBA 3x3 Challenger on Saturday at the same venue.
