B.League to hold games in Manila in September

The Japan B.League will stage games in Manila as part of the league’s 10th anniversary celebration.

In a release on Thursday, the B.League announced that games will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on September 9 and 10, featuring Levanga Hokkaido and the Gunma Crane Thunders.

Filipino players Dwight Ramos and AJ Edu are set to see action for their respective teams. Ramos plays for Levanga Hokkaido, while Edu suits up for the Gunma Crane Thunders.

“We are truly delighted to host the B.LEAGUE’s first-ever overseas games in the Philippines, a country filled with passion for basketball,” B.League chairman Shinji Shimada said.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone in the Philippine basketball community for their tremendous support in making this project possible, as well as to all the players who have served as bridges between our two nations.”

This will be the first time that the B.League will hold overseas games.
