PBA: Despite Finals defeat, TNT's McCullough says series vs Barangay Ginebra will 'forever be talked about'
Chris McCullough may have fallen short in his second bid for a PBA title, but for him, his latest stint was a memorable one.
Joining TNT late in the conference and replacing the injured Bol Bol in the semifinals, McCullough helped steer the Tropang 5G to the Finals and within one win of the championship before Barangay Ginebra prevailed in Game 7.
“Like I said before we started the series, it was going to be one of them… one of them series forever. Even though I lost, this series is going to forever be talked about,” McCullough said as he expressed hope of eventually returning to the league.
For McCullough, the stint was also an opportunity to showcase that he can still perform at an elite level.
“I don't want to prove anything. I just want to show everybody that I can still play at a high level. I showed that on the court and that's it.”
