Gilas Pilipinas heads into the third window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers brimming with confidence after closing out its series of tune-up games with a convincing win over the Franklin Bulls on Tuesday.

The Filipinos dominated the Franklin Bulls, 94-66, despite Justin Brownlee not seeing action as Carl Tamayo and Dwight Ramos took up the scoring cudgels for the national team.

Tamayo torched the New Zealand-based squad with 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field while Ramos supplied 19 markers highlighted by a perfect 3-of-3 shooting from beyond the arc. Ramos also grabbed five rebounds, five assists, and and two assists.

AJ Edu chipped in 14 points and five rebounds while Kevin Quiambao and Juan Gomez de Liaño added nine and eight markers.

Gilas, who also beat NBL ballclub Manawatu Jets with a 90-61 win last Sunday, will now look to build on this momentum in the World Cup qualifiers as they play New Zealand and Australia in a pair of away games.

Gilas will first take on the Tall Blacks on Friday before playing against the Boomers on Monday.
