Justin Brownlee out for Gilas Pilipinas vs Australia in FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers

Gilas Pilipinas will be without naturalized player Justin Brownlee when it faces Australia in the third window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers on Monday.

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) announced the development on Sunday.

“Justin Brownlee will miss the game against Australia due to a right hamstring strain, right peroneal tendinopathy, and left knee swelling with cartilage defects,” the SBP said.

Brownlee was limited to five points but grabbed eight rebounds, dished out four assists, and recorded three steals in the Philippines' 106-102 double-overtime loss to New Zealand.
