PBA: Converge rips Terrafirma to end four-game slide in Cameron Clark's debut

A third import switch paid off for Converge as the FiberXers cruised to a 120-103 win over Terrafirma to end its dry spell in the PBA Season 50 Governors' Cup on Tuesday at the Ynares Center Antipolo.

Converged debuted Cameron Clark — the team's third reinforcement of the conference after letting go of Jalen Hudson and Jamaal Franklin — and the American import impressed right away to help the FiberXers halt a four-game skid and improve to 4-4 in Group A.

Clark, who had stints with NLEX and San Miguel in the past, marked his PBA return with 22 points, five rebounds, three steals, and two blocks as they finally barged back to the win column.

Help from the local crew was also on full display for Converge as both Justin Arana and Calvin Abueva dropped double-double outings with the big man erupting for 20 points and 12 rebounds while the veteran forward posted 17 markers and 11 boards.

Juan Gomez de Liaño and Jaydee Tungcan both tallied 13 points while Justine Baltazar chimed in with 12 markers and four boards.

"The participation of our import, we saw especially in the dying minutes or when they were catching up. Our import's contribution was really big," Converge head coach Delta Pineda said in Filipino.

"Right now, we really needed this win over Terrafirma because they are the ones we're tied with in the standings and four straight losses would be too much."
