Strong Group beats Jordan to finish 5th in 2026 Jones Cup

Strong Group Athletics defeated Jordan, 96-91, on Friday to finish fifth in the 2026 Jones Cup.

The Philippine representative and Jordan went neck-and-neck in the first half, with Strong Group taking a 50-48 lead into halftime.

Jordan then grabbed the lead at the end of the third quarter after outscoring Strong Group, 26-21, but the Philippine side responded in the final frame, outscoring Jordan, 25-17, to secure the victory.

Boban Marjanovic led Strong Group with 21 points, eight rebounds, and three assists, while Tajuan Agee added 17 points, four rebounds, and three steals.

Matthew Wright contributed 15 points, three assists, and two steals, while DJ Fenner chipped in 11 points.

Strong Group finished the tournament with a 6-1 record.
