Comatose boxer Karlo Maquinto's kin seek healing masses for recovery

Relatives of boxer Karlo Maquinto, who fell into a coma after a boxing match last weekend, are asking Catholic Church leaders for help in praying for the boxer's recovery.

 

Maquinto's kin particularly sought healing masses so he can recover from his comatose state, radio dzBB reported early Wednesday.

 

The report said the relatives also asked the faithful to include Maquinto's speedy recovery in their prayers and Mass intentions.

 

Maquinto, 21, collapsed and lost consciousness shortly after his bout with Mark Joseph Costa in Caloocan City last Saturday night. The bout had ended in a draw.

 

He remained comatose at the Far Eastern University (FEU) Hospital in Quezon City. –KG, GMA News
