Boxer Karlo Maquinto loses battle for life

Boxer Karlo Maquinto, who has been comatose after a boxing match last weekend, died Friday at 10:17 a.m., his manager Anson Tiu Co confirmed.

 

The 21-year-old boxer collapsed and lost consciousness after his bout with Mark Joseph Costa in Caloocan City last Saturday night. The bout had ended in a draw.

 

Maquinto was then confined at the Far Eastern University Hospital in Quezon City. – KG, GMA News
