Timothy Bradley hasn't even fought Manny Pacquiao yet, but the undefeated boxer is already looking ahead to a rematch, should he beat the Filipino ring icon on June 9 (June 10, PHL time). The current World Boxing Organization light welterweight champion showed off mocked-up posters and credentials of a "Bradley-Pacquiao 2 bout" at a workout covered by media on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila). Bradley's creations were dated November 10, 2012 (November 11, PHL time), with tickets going on sale on June 10 (June 11, PHL time), a day after their first scheduled fight.
Eastsideboxing.com reports that the 33-year-old Pacquiao has a rematch clause in his current contract that will allow him to immediately fight Bradley should he falter in his first attempt to beat the California native. According to local daily
The Manila Bulletin, Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum had said, "This [the rematch clause] is the reason why I haven't talked about any other fight with Manny other than this upcoming fight with Bradley." Bradley boasts of 28-0 record with 12 knockouts, and is bidding to add Pacquiao to his list of conquests. The Filipino last lost to Erik Morales in 2005, going 15-0 with eight knockouts, since that clash. Should Pacquiao lose, it would give further credence to
a "16th fight curse," a string of coincidences that has Pacquiao losing after every 16 fights since he first lost to Rustico Torrecampo back in 1996.
