8-time world champ Pacquiao gets a boost from his wife, children
When Manny Pacquiao looks out at the crowd gathered to watch him fight Timothy Bradley Jr. on June 9 (June 10, PHL time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, he might be able to spot his two sons, Jimuel and Michael, watching him fight live for the very first time.
The Sarangani congressman looks rejuvenated during training, owing largely to the presence of his family at the Wildcard Gym in Los Angeles, namely his wife Jinkee, and their four children—Emmanuel Jr. or "Jimuel," Michael, Princess and Queenie.
In the past, Pacquiao's children have usually monitored their father's fights via TV.
"Excited ako," said Pacquiao, in-between practice sessions. "Excited din sila. Ganado [rin] ako."
A more spiritual Pacquiao has become closer to his family in recent months, a change his wife says is for the better.
"Pareho lang naman dati yung ensayo, yung focus niya, yung concentration and then yung spiritual [aspect] lang is, every night, Bible study, [which is] better for Team Pacquiao," Jinkee said. — AMD/JVP, GMA News
