Pacquiao manager Koncz hospitalized due to heart attack - report

Michael Koncz, manager of Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao, suffered a mild heart attack and was hospitalized in Macau on Tuesday, Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports reported, based off confirmation from Pacquiao’s publicist Fred Sternburg.

According to the report, this is the second time Koncz has been hospitalized there. On Sunday, he experienced a mild case of Bell’s Palsy, a form of facial paralysis. He recovered from that and was in the gym where Pacquiao was training on Tuesday, before suffering the attack.

Pacquiao officials expect Koncz to be “released soon” though, likely in time for Pacquiao’s bout against Brandon Rios on Sunday. - AMD, GMA News
