WBA world super featherweight champion Nonito Donaire said that he won't look for a tuneup before taking another world title fight.
Should Donaire have his way, he would simply take a title fight the next time he steps into the ring.
"When I came up to 126 I didn't have a tuneup. When I went to 122 I didn't have a tuneup, to 118 going up I didn't have a tuneup," said Donaire in an interview with Boxingscene.com. "I'm just out there. If there's a challenge, I'll go for it. I'm always willing to fight everybody."
Donaire was last seen in action this past May when he defeated South African Simpiwe Vetyeka for the WBA title via fifth round technical decision.
The 31-year-old Donaire who won the BWAA 2012 fighter of the year award, wants to have a 2012-like streak until he calls it a day.
"We wanna roll it that way, we wanna make it that way. Not just for one year but for the rest of my career from this point on." — JST, GMA News
