Manny Pacquiao puts on free boxing card in Davao on Saturday

IBF Pan Pacific super flyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas and hard-hitting Aston Palicte will take centerstage in "Tibay ng Pinoy 4" on Saturday at Almendras Gym in Davao City.

 

The event is promoted by Manny Pacquiao's MP Promotions and is open to the public for free. 

 

Ancajas (20-1-1, 12KOs), a left-handed prospect from Panabo City, Davao del Norte, is on a 7-win KO streak and is on steady rise since training under the watchful eye of Team Pacquiao's Nonoy Neri.

 

His opponent, Indonesian Ali Rochmad is coming from a third round knockout defeat but nevertheless boasts an impressive record of 20-2 with 14KOs. The bout is scheduled for a 10-round non-title fight.

 

In the co-main event, Palicte (13-1, 11KOs) takes on Frans Damur Palue (7-3-2, 3KOs) in another 10-round contest. — JST, GMA News
