Is Algieri the real-life Rocky? Roach answers: 'This ain't a f—ing movie'

Seems like Chris Algieri's prefight talk is starting to get under the skin of Manny Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach.

 

Speaking to Boxingscene.com, Roach stressed his dislike for Algieri and reiterated that Pacquiao is capable of stopping his opponent in the first round.

 

"He's so cocky. He better back it up because I think Manny is going to go out there and knock him out in the first round," said Roach.

 

Algieri is being portrayed as the real life version of fictional movie character, Rocky Balboa. Roach quipped that the fight this weekend is real and a fairy tale ending might prove elusive for the New York native.

 

"He's under my skin. He thinks he's a superstar already. They think he's Rocky Balboa. This ain't a f—ing movie. I can guarantee that," added Roach. — JST, GMA News
