Pacquiao just waiting for Mayweather to sign contract, announce fight

The ball is in Floyd Mayweather's court, according to Manny Pacquiao.

 

The Filipino ring icon said a deal has been hammered out for him to finally fight the brash American champion, according to a report on GMA News TV's "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon" on Thursday.

 

"Oo, positive na," said Pacquiao in response to whether he would be fighting Mayweather next.

 

"Pirma na lang," added the WBO welterweight champion, noting that he's just waiting for Mayweather's signature on the deal.

 

"Hinihintay ko na lang yung contract."

Pacquiao added that Mayweather's camp will make the announcement for the fight.

"Hindi ako mag-announce, si Mayweather mag-announce," he said.
 

Negotiations between the two camps have repeatedly fallen through over the years, but hopes for a deal were raised after the two men met face to face for the first time in Miami last month. —JST, GMA News
