Floyd Mayweather sees no reason to verbally assault Manny Pacquiao ahead of their much-awaited showdown on May 2 (May 3 PHL time).
Mayweather, 38, has demonstrated how he can get into his opponent's head by talking trash before a fight.
The unbeatean pound-for-pound king explains that the things he did were "absolutely" for self promotion, a stunt he doesn't have to pull for his long-awaited bout against Pacquiao.
"I've always thought that at first, it was like, one way or another, by communication or by my boxing skills, you will watch me, you will see me, I will be seen. But I'm in a position now [where] I don't have to do that," Mayweather told mlive.com.
"It was a lot to make this fight happen. In the past, everyone was saying it was Floyd (who was stopping the Pacquiao fight). And my thing was this, if I didn't have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all." - RAF, GMA News
