Hero’s welcome awaits Pacquiao on May 12

(Updated 1:51 p.m.) A hero's welcome is being scheduled on May 12 in preparation for the return of Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao to the country, a report from GMA's “News to Go” said Friday.

 

According to the report, upon arrival, Pacquiao will hold a press conference at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport where he will face the media and his fans.

 

He will then proceed to Makati City to have breakfast and then go around three cities on a motorcade starting at 9 a.m.

 

The motorcade will pass through the following streets in Makati, Pasay and Manila:

 

 

The hero's welcome follows events after his megabout billed as the “fight of the century” with undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. last May 3 at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
