Pacquiao emotional on his birthday

Boxing icon and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao became emotional on Thursday as he celebrated his 37th birthday in General Santos City, a report on Unang Balita on Friday said.

Pacquiao recalled his humble beginnings as he hosted a celebration with his family and friends.

In his speech, Pacquiao could not help shedding tears when he shared how hard life was for him at the beginning.

His life now is very different from what it was like before, he said. Now, he is one of the most influential boxers in the world.

Earlier on Thursday, Pacquiao hosted a surprise celebration with children at the City Oval Plaza in General Santos.

Next fight

Team Pacquiao will announce next week details about Pacquiao's next fight.

The boxer is still choosing between Terrence Crawford or Timothy Bradley as his next opponent, the report said.
