Sarangani Rep. Emmanual "Manny" Pacquiao has left for the US on Monday to begin promoting his upcoming boxing match against Timothy Bradley on April 9.

Pacquiao underscored that this would be his last professional fight and that he is set to retire from the sport he said in GMA's Unang Balita.

He also voiced hope that he it would be a good fight. He will hold a press conference upon his arrival in Los Angeles. He is also set to travel to New York.

The congressman, who will be running for a Senate seat on the May elections, said he would not be visible during the campaign period because he has to undergo training as part of preparations for the match.

He assured, however, that after the fight he would focus on public service.

Before he boarded his flight, Pacquiao thanked his fans for supporting his endeavors and that he hoped they would also support him in his fight on April. His wife, Vice Governor Jinkee Pacquiao, is no longer interested to pursue a career in politics and will just be a housewife. — BAP, GMA News
