‘Pambansang Ulo’ Bato dela Rosa arrives in Las Vegas for Pacquiao-Vargas match

Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa has arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada to watch and support boxing champ Sen. Manny Pacquiao in his fight against Jessie Vargas on Saturday, November 5 (US time).

In a live interview with GMA News’ Mariz Umali on Unang Balita Friday, dela Rosa called himself “Pambansang Ulo," in reference to Pacquiao’s monicker “Pambansang Kamao.”

“I want to support my compadre. I want him to win,” dela Rosa said.

Like Pacquiao, the PNP chief also hails from Mindanao.

“Gustung-gusto kong manalo talaga siya. Pangarap 'yan ng buong Pilipinas e. Lahat ng Pilipino, kahit saang parte ng mundo, pangarap palagi na manalo si Manny, dahil kapag si Manny Pacquiao ang nanalo, parang buong Pilipinas na rin ang nanalo,” he added.

In the interview, dela Rosa predicted that Pacquiao would knock out Vargas within six rounds, taking from his earlier prediction of a Barangay Ginebra San Miguel win.

"Pareho sa Ginebra. Sa Ginebra 4-2 ang aking prediction. Four plus two equals six. So within six rounds, tumba 'yang si Vargas."
